Food for Thought: battles within

Battles continue everyday of our lives. How one handle them and with whom you have to inspire you makes all the difference.

These battles are all around us in many forms from the time you wake up to the time you go back to sleep, from the slightest annoyance to a full fledge rage and everything in-between. Yet having a calming spirit around you eases the frustration, hopefully before it reaches the rage stage.

There are lessons to be learned from each incident and mature from. Giving up is not an option! But picking yourself up, dusting yourself off and moving on, for tomorrow is still in the horizon. Persevering with each circumstance we’re given, encounter helps us grow. The hardship looses some of its sting when focusing on a different perspective; focusing on how to resolve it; focusing on getting help, and if there’s no one around pray. Prayer releases our inner struggles and calms us. Helps us to think rationally. It helps in not being caught up in the moment of the impediment, but getting past it

Life’s lessons and our response to them shows our true nature, our spirit of who we are  and on who we believe in. A calm spirit comes from above…

The right attitude along side a belief in God brings out the fruits of the Spirit. As Galatians 5:22-23 (NASB) states:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”

Patience and self-control are keys to keeping a right attitude in life’s difficulties. The rest follows and everything done in love flourishes.

As long as one keeps the faith, situations do turn around for the best. Everything is possible through faith… He sustains us through all the challenges present and future, the ups and downs, mountains can become mole hills with the right spirit within you. Jesus shows us the way, working together. Believing things will turn out for our good. The evil one likes to discourage us, frustrate us into blowing a casket or worst and for what? our demise. Let’s not let him! Let Christ rule with His Spirit in us. Showing we are better than all the negative.

“Glory be to Him who can keep you from falling and bring you safe to His glorious presences, innocent and happy [‘at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ’ ].
To God the only God, who saves us through Jesus Christ our Lord, be the glory, majesty, authority and power, which He had before time began, now and forever. Amen.”  Jude 24,25 (Jerusalem Bible)

Peace be with you!
