Jesus guides us in many directions to let Him into our hearts. He never forces Himself upon us, but knocks to let Him in. The key is to LET Him into our hearts and walk in His steps. Let Him lead you through prayer, through reading The Holy Scriptures, through fellowship with others who trust God. Every step one takes towards His truths, towards knowing Him leads to a change life inside the core of our being. God wants all of you, not just a small part of you for an hour or two. He wants to be involved in your life, in everything. You’re never alone once you accept His lead, His Spirit unites with your’s and together find where to go next, find solutions to difficult situations, find hope in the impossible.
A key component is to be diligent in your walk with Him, sincerely searching to want to know Him in a personal relationship, as one would have with a friend. Through this personal relationship He opens your eyes to see His love, through your steadfastness you find peace of mind, through reading His word you find Him always with you. This happens through…
Prayer and belief
Believe He walked with us, believe He died for us and buried our sins, believed He resurrected and took the reins of death from the father of lies, believe He ascended to the Father and is sitting at the right hand of the Father advocating for us, believe His ascension sent down to us His Holy Spirit, our Comforter and guide. Through baptism, we submerge our sins and bury them in a watery grave coming up refreshed, renewed, reborn. Claim the blood of Christ cleansing you from all unrighteousness, claim His love, accept Him into your heart. Believe in Him, having faith in Him and trusting His word. He left us His Spirit to be with us always. The Holy Spirit glorifies Christ to the world, the Spirit of truth (Jn 16:13). He is our Advocate sent by the Father to us in Jesus’ name, to teach us (Jn 14:26). He bears fruits in plenty, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,” (Gal.5:22).
Eph.5:9 “(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)“. The work of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter in us produces everything good in our lives, showing us the right path. It’s a choice we make. It begins with letting Jesus into our hearts. Humbling ourselves with prayer, confessing all He forgives, asking Him for help He’s ready to supply you with what you need, you’re never alone. Believing in Jesus’ saving grace, in His peaceful calmness He leads you through the storms of life.
It’s not so much His birth we should remember, as His death and resurrection that are the key to our survival. His birth was special for God showed how much He cared about us, how much He loves us (Jn 3:16), but Jesus’ death takes AWAY our sins, takes away the curse of death. The curse of the law is the death penalty. Jesus’ resurrection abolishes this death penalty, for He took it upon Himself and shed His blood so we can have life. Life more abundant, life eternal. Even if we should die (and until His return we will) knowing Jesus promised to return makes a world of difference, sincerely knowing Him and getting to know Him better. Putting Him above all else in your heart, gives us the assurance, the HOPE there is more to life than this present state of existence. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hear my word, and believe on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” Jn 5:24
What does putting Him above all else mean?
It’s putting Him first in every aspect of our life, it’s going to Him with every concern, worry, anxiety, sadness. It’s being grateful for the happiness in our life. He’s there to listen and ease our pain and give us joy. He’s our true vine to hold on to.
“For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Mat.11:3)
It’s letting Him know your good times with thanksgiving. And your not so good with prayer. Prayer is medicine for the soul. Prayer is talking to God, letting Him in on everything pertaining to your life, anything that’s bothering you, everything you’re happy about. Asking if the coarse your taking is the right one, asking Him to show you where to go, it’s about having a relationship to know Him. God already knows your inner most thoughts, He wants you to confess them to Him, to acknowledge Him. He made you and will help you maneuver your path into living well, according to His will. Trusting Him. Everything works together for our good. All His works are good.. God cares about YOU, personally.
God stirs people awake to His word it’s up to you to heed the word and accept His precious gift. Follow Jesus not man-made religion. The Holy Scriptures is God’s inspired word written by all kinds of individuals, in all walks of life. And there for instruction, meditation, corrections, warnings of things to come and be prepared for, and so much more. What does it pay a man to gain the world but lose his soul? (Mat.16:26). We are truly free with His Spirit in us. Otherwise we’re trap with a negative spirit having only, wanting only our spiritual demise. Fame and glory comes with a steep price and in the end it brings nothing but destruction of body and soul unto death eternal.
Be prepare for His return. Be prepare to answer the question of what your life stood for… the Great White Throne will soon be in front of you, and your whole life will be seen in front of you, will it be worth seeing? will your sins be erased, blotted out, forgiven? or on display? What will your life show? goodness and kindness to others or the opposite (to self)..
You are given free will to choose a path, one leads to life and the other to death. Choose wisely…
Let your life stand for the love of God and the love of neighbor. Let it stand in peace of heart not in guilt or resentment. Let it be your goodness that stands out, not your discord or hatred. Do all you can do to be right with the Author of our lives, through humbly confessing our sins and asking for His help to do the right thing from this moment on. Forgiveness is ours once we let Jesus in. His Spirit guides us to be in harmony with His. In baptism we bury the past and are reborn in the new. Yet, human that we are we fall at times, but once again we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and start over. God is good, knows our human nature/weakness and His patience runs deep. His Spirit is there to help us at all times. Not give up when challenges appear but persevere through them, knowing God is with you, in your heart. Together the mountains of life become molehills.
Seek Him while there is still time to do so. For the time is coming when He will say enough. And where you stand, with whom you stand can be the difference in living with our Lord in His kingdom or not. Don’t kid yourself, don’t be deceived His kingdom is coming. Will you be ready? The world is changing rapidly and prophecy is unfolding in front of our eyes, in our lifetime. Let’s not be caught unaware of where we’re heading to. Let Jesus direct your path so when the hour comes we’re ready to meet Him with gladness. John chapter 14 explains it beautifully from Jesus’ own lips.
Peace be with you all. May God’s blessings be upon you to know Him personally, is my prayer for you. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
