Jesus showed us the way…
He showed brotherhood in relations to every man, woman, child. He demonstrated compassion, respect, decorum toward people in every walk of life. His mannerism in dealing with situations showed strong character and strength, standing in the Father’s principals, in LOVE. He came to show us this love/agape, the simplicity, the truthfulness of loving your neighbor. AGAPE/LOVE conquers, in spite of the opposition. God is love. Jesus is His Son and we too are His children.
agape: noun selfless love of one person for another without sexual implications (especially love that is spiritual in nature)
love : a strong positive emotion of regard and affection
Love a powerful emotion of caring for someone’s well-being. Jesus showed this throughout His life and ministry. His followers, must do no less, by being connected to Him on a daily basis, through prayer and His word. He had (while on earth) and has the confidence, the loyalty of The Father. He showed that confidence and trust in His persona. They are one in character, in strength, in attitude, in all the attributes associated with love. AND through Jesus, we as well. He left us not alone but with His Spirit in each of us, who believe in our hearts He is who He says He is.
Emulating His character, His strength, His person. Showing Christ in us, by our actions, our mannerism, our attitude, our perseverance, our lifestyle in what ever situation we find ourselves in. Tough that it is at times… to forge ahead, when society is determined to undermine and bend us to its will; with its material things and gadgets, entertainments and distractions. Its warp sense of righteousness, its free fall, anything goes with no moral conduct/code attach to it. All a farce to get us to forego, forget our Heavenly Father. ‘We don’t need Him’ is the motto of the day, we can do it all on our own. Throughout the centuries this theme hasn’t worked out well, much less here and now. There is a spiritual darkness of deceitfulness that hides, manipulates the true essence of love. It turns it upside down.
One must rise above the darkness of hatred and prejudices, be strong, know and not live in a world of fantasy, of fleeting moments but of the reality of true love. ‘Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. (Rom. 12:9)
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” (1Jn 2:15)
“And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.” (1Jn 4:16). God gives us the courage needed to say “no thank you” to the world’s imitation of love. We’re to be in the world but not part of its shenanigans to be deceived away from His truth, His peace, His love. Know that everything comes together for our good. God has not left us orphans. Be informed of what’s happening around you and the world at large, yet also know the seasons and how close we are to His appearance. Scriptures’ tells us that we are called to be a ‘peculiar people’ (Deu. 14:2, Tit. 2:14) with our efforts to spread love, love for the individual NOT the sin. We’re to love the person and pray for them that have lost their way, with malice towards none. Jesus showed us the way.
There will be times we will be pitted against one another, we are not to escalate situations with anger, but defuse it with kindness and walk away. We all have our differences, ours is to show compassion and understanding, showing by example the love of Christ, our love for Christ and what He stands for should reflect our being. Let them see that love in your behavior daily .
Times will come when we will be persecuted for what is in our hearts to be true (God’s truth and His love), don’t be afraid; for ‘greater is He who is in us then he who is in the world’! (1Jn. 4:4). We all must come to the realization if they persecuted Jesus, they will persecute us. If they killed our Lord, they will or attempt to kill us. Be prepared! Not afraid. ‘Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.’ (2Ti. 3:12 ). We must have the attitude of martyrdom, unpopular as this may sound, our faith may come to this.. Fight the good fight, fight with the whole armor of God on (Eph. 6:11 ). Jesus conquered death and holds the keys (Rev. 1:18). Our Father raised Him from the grave and He will also raise us, to immortality. This is the triumph the adversary doesn’t want us to know. This is our hope, in what we believe in, death has lost its sting! (1Co. 15:55).
Death comes to all, no matter how much science thinks it can avoid it, it’s unavoidable. Yet, death has no hold or sting for those who believe in the power of God Almighty and have faith in Jesus Christ. We’re living the last days, the spirit of this age is deceiving, deceitfulness. Let’s not be caught in it but stand apart from it, stand for truth.
Don’t give up but pray, lay everything on the table, this alone will release all the tension built inside us. Calming our spirit to think clearly and to resolve whatever issue is facing us, especially to walk towards God not away from. Trusting Him wholeheartedly will give you the tranquility you need to forge ahead, no matter what. Him alone not what this world can offer. He alone gives you the promise of peace, the promise of hope, the promise of life and love.
God is in control. Let Him in your heart, it begins there with your individual choice.
“Let all your bitterness, wrath, anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgives you.” (Eph. 4:31,32)
The world is caught up in itself to show any moral decency. But in spite of it we must stand for the Gospel, the Good News of a better life coming with Jesus Christ at the helm, not this temporary cesspool of degradation we find ourselves in (as Scriptures’ foretells). Plant the seed, one can only point the way and trust God to do the rest, not lose hope, not lose the love that is in us all. “Having faith in the promises of God!” Keep hope alive in yourself and continue to spread it! God bless us all. ‘There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.’ (1Jn 4:18). Jesus showed us the way, let’s follow His example. May the love of God be with you!
