May our Lord continue to open our understanding of Him. I pray in Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
Colossian 2:1-3 ” …and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh, 2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”
God is spirit (John 4:24). God is Omnipresent, meaning He is present everywhere at the same time (Psalm 139:7-10). God is Omnipotent, All Mighty, infinite in power (Revelation 19:6). God is Omniscient (1 John 3:20) He has complete and unlimited knowledge, awareness, understanding; perceiving all things. God is His title, His name is Yah (Psalm 68:4, Isaiah 12:2) Yahweh, YHWH in Hebrew, Jehovah in Latin. God in modern times. The Great “I AM” (Genesis 17:1, Exodus 3:14, Numbers 15:41, Hosea 13:4 to name just a few verses). There is only one God (1 Timothy 2:5).
John 1:1 [ The Eternal Word ] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 [ The Word Becomes Flesh ] And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Colossians 1:18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
God, Yah took the form of man. There was no perfect man on earth for all have sin and come short of His glory (paraphrasing Romans 3:23). Yet, He became human, He became our substitute for our deserved penalty, He took upon Himself our faults, our sins, our humanity. Jesus is God personified, He embodies His Father. The only one perfect, His divinity reflects the Father. They are one. Jesus was given authority by the Father. Took on humanity and our sinful nature and gave us life.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Jesus is The Word incarnated in a human body, from being physically born to adulthood. He feels every pain and joy we feel, every tear and smile. Christ the anointed, God’s Word, His essence, His divinity, His Son. Jesus part man and part divinity, the Son of God. He became man, obedient to the Father who sent Him. God made Himself a servant to show His mercy, show us love. There is only One God.
John 10:25-30 “25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me. 26 But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 I and My Father are one.”
John 8:58 58 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”
Exodus 3:14 14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you.
The LORD came to restore us back to having a relationship with Himself in the personification of our Lord Jesus Christ. Immanuel means ‘God with us”. Through Him we are blessed, we are forgiven.
When Christ ascended He didn’t leave us alone, God’s spirit The Comforter, Helper (John 14:26), The Holy Spirit is with us and in us IF we let Him into our hearts (an individual choice only your person can make). An invitation of asking Him Jesus to come into our hearts and abide in us. Humbly repenting and asking for forgiveness. Sincerely wanting to change from the inside out. He is loving and longsuffering, hears the voice of a contrite heart. Only then will the Holy Spirit come and abide in you, and guide us to all understanding.
The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one, working together for our good and our eternal destiny.
Colossians 2:8-10 “8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.“
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.
John 17:21 …that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
Colossians 1:9-23 9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
Reconciled in Christ
19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.
21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled 22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— 23 if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.
1John 5:6-7 6 This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.
God bless us all to His understanding. I don’t confess to know all the mysteries of our God and His Son. Only what is revealed to us through the Holy Scriptures and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit in humble submission to God’s will. We can all be a reflection of our Heavenly Father through the One who brought us the Good News. And while we do not have Him in physical form, He did not leave us orphans (John 14:18), His Spirit is in us and with us, in those who believe His Word.
The Father gave Jesus preeminence of everything on earth and in heaven. Yet everything revolves around the Father/Creator. There is only one God. Yeshua (Jesus) confines in the Father, does the will of the Father, is one with the Father as we should through prayer (communication). We are all God’s children, He loves us and wants His children to emulate, be more Christ-like (not, that we are a god ourselves that’s the evil one’s claim), we have a choice. The day is coming when the Father tells Jesus its time to come with all His glory and take us home. Come Lord Jesus, come. Mara natha!
