“Even IF”

Life is unpredictable, it’s full of ups and downs. “Even if”.  YOU have the ability to change yourself, change your life style. We are given an intellect to think through things and get ourselves up, dust ourselves off and move on when life takes a wrong turn. At the very least change our mind-set from giving up. Tough times happens to the best of us, no one is immune from experiencing it at times. How we perceive it from the onset makes a huge difference. Sure it can be daunting the issues facing us but it doesn’t have to take over our lives. Sometimes we’ll find the solution was right in front of us if we only stopped looking at and having the ‘whoa is me’, mentality. The attitude we give ourselves from the pain it causes can play havoc in our mind, materializing in our physical defeat. Sometimes we hurt real bad that we’re clouded by the pain, at these times I cry it out, speak it out loud and pray. In the release of crying it out, it’s no longer trapped in my mind. Crying it out releases the negative and I’m able to see it for what it is, making it possible to move on.

I believe it all stems from our spiritual self just not right with our person. And this is God speaking to our hearts to turn to Him and trust Him. We have the ability to change from within with Him, Even If. We’re to grow through these times, see the lessons it offers or we can stop growing and wallow in our misery. The choice is in us to follow which path to take. Sometimes it’s out of our control or an outside influence, again by crying it out, being raw with your emotions with God, praying for clarity we figure it out, and the ability to make the proper changes comes. Especially if it leads us to grow closer to our Heavenly Father who’s right there to lend a helping hand. This helping hand can be through others experiencing similar situation, or helping out, it can be through music or the laughter of a little child, anything that distracts us from ourselves and the pain within us. We can’t change our past but we can be forgiven from it; forgive ourselves to move forward. And Even if the solution is not readily available doesn’t mean it’s not forthcoming, just maybe we need to go through the pain to grow, grow stronger to realize we need to get right with our spiritual self, with God. Forming a relationship with Him through it all, the good times included. Matthew 11:30 tells us His yoke is easy and His burdens light. He wants the very best for His children. Don’t give up on HOPE, don’t give up on faith, “Even IF“…

They say sometimes you win some
Sometimes you lose some
And right now, right now I’m losing bad
I’ve stood on this stage night after night
Reminding the broken it’ll be alright
But right now, oh right now I just can’t
It’s easy to sing
When there’s nothing to bring me down
But what will I say
When I’m held to the flame
Like I am right now
I know You’re able and I know You can
Save through the fire with Your mighty hand
But even if You don’t
My hope is You alone
They say it only takes a little faith
To move a mountain
Well good thing
A little faith is all I have, right now
But God, when You choose
To leave mountains unmovable
Oh give me the strength to be able to sing
It is well with my soul
I know You’re able and I know You can
Save through the fire with Your mighty hand
But even if You don’t
My hope is You alone
I know the sorrow, and I know the hurt
Would all go away if You’d just say the word
But even if You don’t
My hope is You alone
You’ve been faithful, You’ve been good
All of my days
Jesus, I will cling to You
Come what may
‘Cause I know You’re able
I know You can
I know You’re able and I know You can
Save through the fire with Your mighty hand
But even if You don’t
My hope is You alone
I know the sorrow, I know the hurt
Would all go away if You’d just say the word
But even if You don’t
My hope is You alone
It is well with my soul
It is well, it is well with my soul
Thank you for visiting 🙂
God bless you to see your potential in moving forward through the pain this life sometimes offers. In Christ I pray, Amen.

  1. I LOVE that song! Such profound lyrics, they remind me of Shadrach, Mishach, and Abednego: “God can preserve us through the fire, but EVEN IF He doesn’t, we won’ bow down to your idol.” Their example saves me from being crushed by the popular notion that “if you have enough faith, you’ll get what you want, and if you don’t get what you want, either there’s something wrong with you, or God isn’t God.” (Rubbish!)
