‘Put God’s armor on’

Finally, grow strong in the Lord, with the strength of His power. Put God’s armor on so as to be able to resist the devil’s tactics. Ephesians 6:10:11

The night is almost over, it will be daylight soon–let us give up all the things we prefer to do under the cover of the dark; let us arm ourselves and appear in the light. Rom. 13:12

by the word of truth and by the power of God; by being armed with the weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left,  2Cor. 6:7

For it is not against human enemies that we have to struggle, but against the Sovereignties and the Powers who originate the darkness in this world, the spiritual army of evil in the heavens. Eph.6:12 TJB

KJV:  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

These are the spirits who live in the heavens between the surface of the earth and where God lives. The princes of the air (Eph.2:2). Some of them are among the ‘elemental principles of the world’, (Gal.4:3). They disobeyed God and want to enslave the human race to themselves in sin. Believers used to be their slaves but Christ came to free us (Colo.1:13, 2:15,20). And if Christians are armed with the power of Christ, they will be able to fight them.

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;  2Cor.10:4,5 KJV

That is why you must rely on God’s armor, or you will not be able to put up any resistance when the worst happens, or have enough resources to hold your ground. So stand your ground, with truth buckled round your waist, and integrity for a breastplate, wearing for shoes on your feet the eagerness to spread the gospel of peace and always carrying the shield of faith so that you can use it to put out the burning arrows of the evil one. And then you must accept salvation from God to be your helmet and receive the word of God from the Spirit to use as a sword. Eph,6: 13-17 TJB

KJV: Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak. Isa. 59:17KJV

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 1 Thes.5:8

Give in to God, then; resist the devil, and he will run away from you. James 4:7

I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1John 2:14,15 KJV

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Heb. 4:14 KJV

Pray all the time, asking for what you need, praying in the Spirit on every possible occasion. Never get tired of staying awake to pray for all the saints; and pray for me to be given an opportunity to open my mouth and speak without fear and give out the mystery of the gospel of which I (Paul) am an ambassador in chains; pray that in proclaiming it I may speak as boldly as I ought to. Eph.6:18-20 TJB

KJV: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

God is in charge. Put your faith in Him and He will guide your steps. Be a warrior of the new millenium with the gospel of Jesus Christ in your heart. Rejoice and praise Him!

May God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ grant peace, love and faith to all the brothers (and sisters). May grace and eternal life be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Eph.6:23,24

KJV: Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

Time to put on the whole armor of God and be prepare to stand! God bless.
